Summary
We do not collect, sell or share your data. All calculations happen on your device. The extension makes one kind of network request: if you enter a Pro license key, it sends that key to Gumroad, our payment provider, to confirm the purchase. Nothing else ever leaves your browser.
What the extension stores, and where
These items are saved only on your device, in Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local). They are not synced to your Google account and are never sent to us:
- Calculator inputs for each tab, such as account equity, risk amount or percentage, long/short, entry, stop and target prices, symbol or pair, leverage, fees, slippage and commission.
- Saved presets, and trade plans you choose to save to History. You can export History to a CSV file on your own computer.
- Loss-limit settings that you type in: daily limit %, today's realized P/L, max trades and trades taken today.
- License information: your license key, whether it is valid, the purchase email Gumroad returns, and the dates of the trial start and the last check.
- Two counters that never leave the device: how many times the upgrade screen was shown and how many times "Get Pro" was clicked.
Uninstalling the extension deletes all of this. "Remove" in Settings deletes the license key, and "Clear all" in History deletes saved trade plans.
License verification (the only network request)
- When: when you click "Activate" in Settings, and after that at most once every 7 days while a key is saved, to confirm the purchase is still valid (for example, that it was not refunded).
- What is sent: an HTTPS POST to
https://api.gumroad.com/v2/licenses/verify containing only your license key, our product id, and increment_uses_count=false. No calculator inputs, trades, history, browsing data or identifiers are sent.
- What comes back: Gumroad's answer on whether the key is valid, including purchase details such as the purchase email and refund status. The extension keeps only the valid/invalid result, the email, and the check date, on your device.
- Who receives it: Gumroad, Inc. processes the request under its own privacy policy: gumroad.com/privacy. Gumroad already holds this information because you bought the license there. We do not run any servers of our own for the extension.
- If you never enter a key, the extension makes no network requests at all. The 7-day trial is tracked locally and contacts no one.
Permissions
storage: to keep the data listed above on your device.- Host permission for
https://api.gumroad.com/* only: to verify license keys. The content security policy blocks connections to any other address (connect-src https://api.gumroad.com).
- No access to the websites you visit, no content scripts, no tabs or history permission.
What the extension does not do
- No analytics, telemetry, tracking, advertising, cookies or third-party scripts.
- No account or sign-up with us.
- No sale or transfer of data. Data is not used for any purpose other than the extension's single purpose (position-size calculation and its Pro license), and is not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Links
The popup contains ordinary links to our Gumroad and Etsy pages. They open a normal browser tab only when you click them, and the extension sends those sites no data. The Gumroad link includes ?ref=chrome-ext so we can see how many sales came from the extension. It contains no personal data.
Children
The extension is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that version is published, and the effective date above will change.
